On this Knabe piano I was impressed by the decorative body and knew that it had not reached its potential in terms of looks and sound. The soundboard was refinished so it could vibrate better. The worn hard hammers were replaced with new for better tone.
I replaced all of the strings because they were overstretched and tarnished. Chipped ivory was repaired on a dozen keys. The body was refinished with lacquer by Mumford Restoration.
